ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hello there! I'm Splash, an illustrator and award-winning cosplayer. Based in New England, I make fursuits with Storm Wave Suits; I have been creating since 2016. Bringing a character from 2D to 3D will always be one of my favorite processes! It is my goal with SWS to bring affordable and high-quality handmade creations. I am always looking to improve and expand upon my skills as a maker, and experiment with new techniques in almost every project.I hope that you will consider working with SWS to get your character made and ready for love~

See below for a basic price layout of fursuit commission types. All prices listed are in USD and do not include tax, online transaction fees, or shipping. All pricing is subject to change at any point. Please note small parts and cosplay commissions are quote-only due to the nature of those projects. Don't see a feature you are looking for? All costumes crafted by Storm Wave Suits are fully sewn with finished seams for durability. Every costume is made to order from scratch to get the exact look you envision!

Terms of Service

By commissioning Storm Wave Suits (SWS), you agree to the following terms. Please be aware that these terms are subject to change.

Eligibility

• Clients who are under 18 years old must provide written and verifiable parental or guardian consent before a commission will be accepted.
• SWS is not responsible for a costume that no longer fits due to growth or body changes.

Commissions and Availability

• We accept original and artistic liberty commissions.
• Small parts such as paws and tails, and cosplay-related commissions are available by quote only. Select “other” on the quote form and describe your request.
• SWS does not work with electronics. We do not offer NSFW work.
• Available commission types are posted on the Prices page and announced through social media updates.

Concept Art

• A front and back reference sheet is required for a quote.
• If you do not have a reference sheet or are interested in an artistic liberty commission, get in touch to discuss your project.
• Features and add-ons will be confirmed before work begins. Changes after work starts will require additional fees.

Payment and Payment Plans

• Quotes are free. Commission openings occur three to four times per year.
• A 30% non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours to secure your slot.
• The remaining balance must be paid before your project is complete.
• While full payment is preferred, some payment plans may be accepted. Please be aware of any extra fees as a result of multiple payments.
• Payments are accepted through PayPal or Venmo.
• Client will be responsible for fees through Goods & Services Transactions.
• A 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax and any online service fees will be added to your quote.
• Shipping cost is calculated at completion.

Shipping

• Orders outside the US are accepted. International buyers are responsible for all shipping costs.
• SWS is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit.
• If a product is returned to SWS due to incorrect information, it is the responsibility of the client to cover the cost of reshipment.

Measurements

• Fullsuits require a duct tape dummy (DTD) and a pair of sneakers (New or lightly broken in) to be mailed to SWS before work begins. The DTD must be seamless and fully taped over at the cut lines.
• SWS will not work based on measurements alone for a bodysuit.
• Clint will be required to take some basic measurements before construction.

Communication and Timeline

• All communication is conducted via email or Telegram only. All communication via these platforms is considered binding. Any financial discussions will be via email.
• Progress updates will be given weekly.
• SWS operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST. Messages received outside those hours will be answered on the next business day unless otherwise noted.
• Most projects are completed within two to three months after entering the queue.
• Strict deadlines are not accepted. A rush fee can be applied to your commission for an additional 20% of the quoted price.

Warranty

• All costumes include a six-month warranty covering defects in materials or craftsmanship.
• The warranty does not cover the following: Normal wear and tear, improper care, alterations without SWS approval or guidance.
• Please have some understanding, or be willing to learn basic repair stitches. Seams and markings may naturally become undone over time.

Refunds, Cancellations, and Abandoned Projects

• All sales are final.
• Returns and refunds are not accepted on handmade goods.
• Most projects are completed within two to three months after entering the queue.
• In the event that SWS does not hear from a client for more than two months, the project will be considered abandoned. Any refund eligibility is forfeited, and the project may be completed and sold as a premade.
• To cancel an order, contact SWS directly. Deposits are non-refundable.
• By commissioning SWS, you understand that a payment reversal or chargeback is considered a breach of this agreement.
• If this action is taken by the client, the commission will be cancelled and all work will be halted. All communications, invoices, and proof of work will be submitted to the payment processor to dispute any payment reversal. By agreeing to these terms, you understand that chargebacks are not an acceptable method of resolving a disagreement and that all concerns must be addressed directly with SWS.

Photos and Credit

• SWS may use photos of your commission for portfolio, promotional, and social media purposes. Private commission requests may be requested and will incur an extra fee.
• By commissioning SWS, you agree that you own the intellectual property (IP) of the character. Any copyright claims due to character design are not the responsibility of SWS and will be directed towards the client.
• Remember to credit Splash/ Storm Wave Suits for any commissioned or premade work.
